Two loud explosions rocked Yemen's southern port city of Aden on Friday as Houthi-fired missiles struck near the Al-Ma'ashiq presidential palace in the Crater district, a local security official told Xinhua.
Government forces spokesperson Majid al-Nuzaili said on X that the Houthis targeted both Aden International Airport and the palace. Air defences engaged drones over key government institutions. Casualties and damage were not immediately known.
The compound, which houses Yemen's internationally recognised government, has repeatedly come under attack in the latest escalation. On October 15, five missiles struck it, killing five people and wounding 16.
