Davido Joins Kirk Franklin for “Hope in You” on Album Scheduled for 30 October

Davido’s collaboration with Kirk Franklin, “Hope in You,” is scheduled for Friday, 30 October, according to Voice of Nigeria. The track is reported to feature on Franklin’s album I Am What I Am, giving the Nigerian singer a new collaboration with a prominent American gospel artist.

Voice of Nigeria published the announcement on 28 October. Apple Music’s South African album page independently lists I Am What I Am with a 30 October 2026 release date and 14 songs. Its editorial description names Davido among the guest performers, alongside Jelly Roll and GloRilla.

The broadcaster reports that the collaboration was previewed at a listening event in Atlanta on 12 October, where Davido performed and joined the choir. These event details are attributed to its account; Civique News did not independently inspect footage of the performance.

The collaboration places an Afrobeats performer within Franklin’s gospel-led project. Beyond that confirmed pairing, the reviewed sources do not establish complete track-level production credits or a detailed account of how the recording was made.

A third-party Instagram post uses an “out now” caption, but that is not an authenticated artist or label announcement. At the time of this update, the scheduled date and album catalogue entry were substantiated; worldwide playback of the individual track was not independently verified.

Update, 30 October: the release date is supported, but anticipation should not be reported as proven streaming success. No chart position, sales total or platform-wide trending ranking was established. Readers can consult the dated announcement and album listing below for the directly supported information.
