ADC crisis: South-West leaders revolt against Atiku with polls under 80 days away
Party chiefs in the region complain of marginalisation as the 2027 race heats up.

Leaders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the South-West are reportedly up in arms against the party's presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, The Punch reported on Sunday.
The aggrieved members say the region has been marginalised in the campaign structure and in key appointments, according to the report.
The rift comes with the 2027 general elections less than 80 days away, and as a separate power tussle over an Imo Senate seat — involving FCT Minister Nyesom Wike and Senate President Godswill Akpabio — draws warnings from a pro-Tinubu group that it could hurt the President's re-election bid.
In Lagos, a consortium including TVC News and Channels TV has fixed 8 November for the governorship debate. The ADC had not officially responded to the South-West complaints at press time.
